Our Team
Randall A. York
​
Randy began his private practice in 1982, in Cumberland County, Tennessee. He was appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen on September 24, 2008, as the District Attorney General for the 13th Judicial District of Tennessee(Putnam, Cumberland, Clay, Pickett, DeKalb, White and Overton Counties), and was the District Attorney General from 2010 through 2014, for the 13th Judicial District of Tennessee. Randy has been practicing since 2014 at Moore, Rader, Fitzpatrick and York, P.C. in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Randy is part of the Tennessee Association for Justice, Upper Cumberland Trial Lawyers, American Bar Association. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in 1978 at Middle Tennessee State University, and Doctorate in Jurisprudence in 1982 from Nashville School of Law.

In 2012 and 2013, Randy established the 13th Judicial Family Justice Center. This justice center is still in existence and servicing the needs of those that have been abused throughout the thirteenth (13th) Judicial District. This is a unique facility and is truly the first of its kind in the United States to address the needs of rural and urban counties. Randy has been recognized as an expert in the field of domestic violence and has helped established additional family justice centers in Tennessee.

Randy has also worked extensively with the Upper Cumberland Child Advocacy Center to help children that were the subjects of child abuse and child sexual abuse. As District Attorney, he helped establishing a mobile interview facility throughout the 13th Judicial District.

Randy is a Certified Instructor. He attended the Prevention Research Institute for instructor training, which is accredited by NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.
Judy D. York
Judy has taught Business Education at Cumberland County High School for the past 25 years. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and received a Master of Science Degree with an emphasis in education from the University of Tennessee.
Judy is one of our certified instructors, receiving training from the Prevention Research Institute.
Jessica L. Carter
Jessica has been a Legal Assistant for over 22 years. She has experience in criminal defense, divorce, probate, estate planning, conservatorship, real estate, and various civil matters. She attended the Prevention Research Institute for instructor training, which is accredited by NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. Jessica is in charge of scheduling and the administration of The Temperance Academy.

It is our goal to educate and provide a better understanding of the effect of alcohol and drug abuse and to establish an alternative plan to reduce the probability of future DUI offenses.
Our Curriculum
Prime for Life is the State of Tennessee's mandated program and our classes are licensed by the Department of Health in Tennessee. All instructors are licensed and trained from the State of Tennessee and Prevention Research Institute. It is our goal to provide our clients with the most up-to-date educational Alcohol/Drug prevention classes. Prime for Life is a Risk Reduction-Educational class designed to help people learn how to reduce their risk and prevent alcohol/drug related problems in their life.
